Busted Water Main In Tucker Repaired

Some water customers in the Tucker area may notice discolored water, DeKalb County officials say.

TUCKER, GA — A broken, 16-inch water main in Tucker has been repaired, with work completed about 10 p.m. on Wednesday, DeKalb County officials say.

The broken main is along Lavista Road near Henderson Road. Paving and other restoration work was continuing Thursday and scheduled to be complete by Friday afternoon. Work restoring sidewalks and curbs in the area are due to be complete next week.

Drivers in the area are urged to use caution due to lane closures for the work.

Water customers in the Tucker area may notice slightly discolored water, according to the DeKalb County Watershed Department. They are encouraged to let their faucets run until water is running clear.
