Deputies Grab Robbery, Assault Suspect After Spotted in Downtown Atlanta

Curtis Dance was switching busses in downtown Atlanta when Gwinnett County deputies moved in and made their arrest Thursday afternoon.

ATLANTA, GA — A Tucker man wanted in connection with armed robberies and a sexual assault was apprehended Thursday afternoon in downtown Atlanta.

Curtis Earsell Dance, 23, was wanted in connection to two separate robberies and sexual batteries in July.

Police say on July 21, Dance entered a 74-year-old woman's home through a kitchen window and assaulted her as he dragged her through her home. He then stole cash and a laptop computer.

On July 25, police say Dance broke into another woman's home, assaulted her and took jewelry from the victim before leaving.

At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office investigators were in Atlanta in an attempt to locate Curtis. He was spotted getting on a Marta bus and followed for a short distance before he went to switch buses and was apprehended, according to a statement by Gwinnett Police.
