Former DeKalb High School Football Player Drowns

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Tucker High School in DeKalb County is mourning the loss of a 2019 graduate. Lucius Chitty, 19, drowned Monday in a lake at an Indiana park, according to news reports. He played on the school’s football team, according to a Facebook post.

Authorities were called to White Rock Park after a swimmer was reported missing, reported WXIN-TV. Rescue crews pulled the body near docks in 17 feet of water. He was taken to Major Health Partners Hospital in Shelbyville where he was pronounced dead.
