Gas, Water Leak Shutting Down Traffic at Northlake
Lavista Road closed down in the Northlake area.

TUCKER, GA -- An apparent gas leak at Northlake Parkway and Lavista Road in Tucker was snarling traffic Thursday afternoon.
The leak appeared to be in an area where construction work was being done. WXIA-TV’s Jason Durden was reporting on Twitter that police have closed down the Interstate 285 northbound ramp to Lavista Road due to a broken gas and water main.
He posted that DeKalb officials, who did not immediately return a phone call Thursday afternoon, had confirmed a contractor was working and cracked through both a water main and a gas main at the intersection near Northlake Mall.
