Get Ready to Go BACK - to the Future

Retro cinema at Northlake Movie Tavern will take you back in time!

The movie "Back to the Future" is playing tomorrow night, July 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Northlake Movie Tavern in Tucker.  It is a part of a series they are calling "Retro Cinema."

If you graduated high school in the mid-to-late 1980s, let me recommend you consider seeing this movie again!  I recently watched it on Netflix and loved it so much that I plan to take my daughter to see it on the big screen!
"Back to the Future," starring Michael J. Fox, came out in 1985.  In the movie, his character "Marty" flies back 30 years to the 1950s and at the end, he also flies the Delorean into the future by 30 years.  He returns to the "present" which was the 1980s to give us a glimpse of what it might be like.
It is a really fun experience to watch this movie if you can recall watching it when you were young as it will bring back a lot of memories about what life was like in the eighties.  The clothes, the lingo, the  music - it all seems so familiar and yet somehow it has become dated.  It's "Retro" as the name suggests.  But, it is also a lot of fun and a great experience to share with your own kids.

Thanks to the Northlake Movie Tavern, this is just one of several flashback movies that you can see on the big screen again.  For the full listing, click here:  http://movietavern.com/retro-cinema/.

Here's the cool part ... we ARE living NOW in the time the movie was considering to be "the future."  It has been nearly 30 years since this movie first came out in theaters.  So, you will be able to experience a series of flashbacks for yourself... what it was like for you when the movie came out, what you thought about the future, what your life is like right now.

It is a very cool way to reflect on the past, present and future - and enjoy a wholesome movie with your own kids if you have them.

See you at the movies!
