
Gov. Nathan Deal received the certified indictment of DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis on Thursday morning.
The indictment came in the form of a letter from DeKalb DA Robert James.
This starts the clock on the 14-day period the governor must wait before forming the three-person commission that will study whether or not to suspend the CEO from his office.

Ellis was indicted earlier this week with 15 charges that he illegally pressured contractors into giving him campaign contributions.
