Thanksgiving Shooting Suspect Is At Large: Reports

The DeKalb County man allegedly killed his 16-year-old stepson.

Police are searching for a DeKalb County man who allegedly shot his 16-year-old stepson to death during a Thanksgiving Day argument, according to media reports.

The suspect, Cristino Ramos, fled the scene in a black GMC Denali after the 10:30 p.m. shooting, WXIA-TV Channel 11 reported. It occurred in the parking lot of the Estuary Apartments near Henderson Mill Road.

The victim, Andres Arias, was shot four times when he tried to intervene in the argument between Ramos and his mother, his sister told Channel 11 and WSB-TV Channel 2.

The sister, Fabiola Arias, said Ramos was trying to take his 2-year-old son from the boy’s mother during a family party. She said her brother was a junior at Lakeside High School.
