Here's what will happen next on Tucker's road to cityhood.

Now that Tucker voters have approved cityhood, the next step is electing a six-member city council and a mayor.

Those elections for Georgia’s newest city will be held in March 2016, according to Tucker 2015. The mayor will earn $20,000 and each council member will be paid $14,000, annually.

All city elections are nonpartisan.
