Up For Grabs: Money For School Gardens
The Beautification and Environmental Education Grant is available to schools in DeKalb County.
DeKalb Schools are being offered grants for special projects by the county's Federation of Garden Clubs.
They are seeking applicants for a project which beautifies a school's grounds, sets up and continues a garden of any kind, or conducts ecological or environmental education for its students.
The minimum Beautification and Environmental Education grant is $200. Call Judy Lemoine, Chair of the B.E.E. Committee, at 770-934-8541. Applications are being accepted now and the deadline is in September.
