Update: Motorcyclist Killed at I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody
Dunwoody police have released the identity of the victim.
A motorcyclist was killed around midnight on Wednesday after his vehicle collided with a dump truck at I-285 and Ashford Dunwoody Road.
The victim has been identified as Robert McCarthy. Police say McCarthy was traveling at a high rate of speed when his motorcycle rear-ended a dump truck and burst into flames upon impact.
