ATLANTA NATIVE RAISING $30,000 FOR HOMELESS PETS BY HER 30TH BIRTHDAY
30 thousand by 30 Campaign to Benefit LifeLine Animal Project
ATLANTA, GA. – April 27, 2016 – Atlanta Native Neely Conway launched a 30thousand By 30 campaign today to raise $30,000 by her 30th birthday for Atlanta’s homeless animals. The funds will benefit LifeLine Animal Project, a non-profit organization working to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in metro Atlanta shelters. From now until her birthday on July 27, Conway will raise funds by hosting several events throughout the Atlanta area and partnering with local dining establishments and startup companies.
According to Conway, she couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate her 30th birthday. “I’ve always felt passionate about the homeless animals that currently fill Atlanta’s shelters,” said Conway. “Working with LifeLine has opened my eyes to the daily challenges they face. I’m hoping to raise funds for a nonprofit that I fully believe in, and to raise awareness of the issues animals face in our amazing city.”
LifeLife is committed to improving the standard of care for animals in Atlanta through their management of county shelters such as Fulton County Animal Services and DeKalb County Animal Services, their outreach efforts, lifesaving programs and two spay & neuter clinics.

Each year, more than 15,000 homeless animals enter Fulton and DeKalb County Animal Services—two of the largest open admission shelters in the state. LifeLine is working to reduce this number through spay and neuter programs, community outreach initiatives and adoption events.
In November of 2015, LifeLine reached no-kill levels at the Fulton County Animal Services
Shelter—the first time an open admission animal shelter in Atlanta has ever reached that goal. They also reached a no-kill milestone at DeKalb in March. Their current projects, programs and initiatives work to sustain this no-kill level. Conway has a special place in her heart for the organization, having adopted both her animals from LifeLine Animal Project’s shelters and regularly fostering two-to-three dogs a year for them while continuing her full-time employment within the Marketing industry.

“We have a responsibility to take care of our community,” says Conway. “This project aims to do just that.”
