DeKalb Investigator Charged with DUI, Speeding
The chief investigator for the district attorney's office was stopped after he was allegedly driving 104 mph on Interstate 20.

The chief investigator for criminal cases in the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office was arrested after he was reportedly driving drunk at more than 100 miles per hour in a county vehicle.
Rockdale County deputies stopped Michael Scott, 45, after he was allegedly clocked driving 104 mph on Interstate 20 in a county car Friday night, reports WXIA TV. Authorities suspected that Scott had been drinking alcohol, but he refused a sobriety test.
A blood sample was drawn for testing. The results have not been released.

Scott was charged with speeding and DUI, Rockdale County Sheriff’s officials told WXIA.
Scott was released from jail on bond Saturday morning.

Erik Burton, the spokesperson for the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office, told the TV station, “We are aware of the situation and will follow our internal protocols regarding the matter.”
