U.S. Marshals were chasing the suspect, who shoved his way into a DeKalb County apartment with three women and their young children.

A felon on the run from U.S. marshals offered three women cash to be quiet after shoving his way into the DeKalb County apartment where they were with their young children.

The suspect led marshals on a chase Wednesday night, crashed a vehicle and then hid inside an apartment. The women told WSB TV the man offered them money as federal officers searched the complex at The Lakes at Stone Mountain apartments.

A woman who lived in the apartment unit was caring for her newborn. When she opened the door for her sister, a neighbor and their children, the fugitive was behind them and shoved his way inside.

Officers broke the door down to capture the suspect, who they say has information about armed robberies. The man’s identity has not been identified as the investigation continues.
