Happening This Week: Graduation Monday at Emory

You planner for the week ahead: A fundraiser for Nickel Bottom Community Garden, Dog Daze at Diesel, an urban scavenger hunt, a Universal Life Expo and graduation at Emory University.

1. Cap and gown. Expect major traffic around Emory University on Monday morning. It's graduation, and the university says about 3,700 degrees will be bestowed and about 14,000 people will attend the ceremony on the campus quadrangle. 2. Fundraiser for Nickel Bottom Community Garden. Anne Quatrano of Floataway Cafe, Bacchanalia, Star Provisions and Abattoir prepares a gourmet picnic basket, with proceeds going to maintain the garden. 1 p.m. Sunday at the FloatAway Community, 1123 Zonolite Road NE. $99.

3. Urban scavenger hunt. The Atlanta Greenspaces Team has partnered with the Atlanta street artist community to hide art around town. Participants should search greenspaces and find the art. Starts at 9 a.m. Friday. Free.

4. Universal Life Expo. There will be readers, Reiki, vendors and more at the First Existentialist Congregation, 470 Candler Park Drive NE. Starts at 10 a.m. Saturday. $1.

5. Dog Daze. You and your pooches can enjoy dog-themed contests, raffles, exhibitions, treats and toys at 1 p.m. Sunday at Diesel Filling Station at 870 N. Highland Ave. NE. It's part of Atlanta Streets Alive.
