Holy Week Observances at St. John's Lutheran Church
From Maundy Thursday to Easter Morning... join us as we enter into the story of Jesus' passion, death and resurrection.

We enter into the story of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection through a service that begins on Maundy Thursday and lasts through the Easter Vigil.
Maundy Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m. A Liturgy of Forgiveness, Foot Washing, and Holy Communion. A $10 catered dinner is a part of the worship service. There will be a reception before the service at 6:30 p.m. Please contact the church office to reserve a spot at office@stjohnsatlanta.org.
Good Friday, April 3, 12 Noon We gather with our friends from Mercy Community Church at Freedom Park for an Urban Way of the Cross, walking the stations of the cross from the park to Druid Hills Presbyterian Church.

Good Friday, April 3, 7 p.m. A Liturgy of Lament with the Flowering and the Adoration of the Cross.
Easter Vigil, April 4, 9 p.m. A Liturgy that includes the Lighting of the New Fire, the Creative Readings of Salvation Stories, welcoming new members, and the first Holy Communion of Easter. This service is followed by a festive celebration, the first in the great fifty days of Easter.

Our Easter Morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. on April 5. Following the worship service, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt.
