One Year Ago: Christmas Eve Murder Suspect Arrested at Decatur Walmart
Jake Jackson Jr. is charged with felony murder in the shooting death of his ex-wife.

A man sought in the Christmas Eve shooting death of his former wife was arrested outside a Decatur Walmart Monday night.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on Monday night arrested Jake Jackson Jr. in connection with the shooting death of Tiffanie Phillips, his ex-wife. Authorities say the fatal attack happened in her home on Terrace Trail in Decatur on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

A warrant charging Jackson with felony murder was issued; he was considered armed and dangerous.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Fugitive Squad and Uniform Division arrested Jackson without incident just before 11 p.m. Monday night, Dec. 29, outside the Walmart at Memorial Drive and Columbia Drive in Decatur.

Jackson is in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.
