Police: 2 Arrested in Connection with Gas Station Shooting

An attendant at the Texaco gas station in DeKalb County was shot in the head during an armed robbery.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery at a Texaco gas station during which the attendant, Rafrique Makani, was shot in the head.

The armed robbery happened around 3 a.m. Sept. 2 at the Texaco gas station on Flat Shoals Road in south DeKalb County, Patch previously reported.

An employee who hid during the robbery told WSB TV Makani handed over cash, but the robber shot him in the forehead anyway.

Authorities arrested Andre Spriggs, 20, on Jan. 7 in Lithonia and Amanda Nicole Spriggs, 26, on Jan. 9.

Both suspects have been charged with felony aggravated battery and felony armed robbery. The two remain in custody at the DeKalb County Jail.

Makani is still under medical care for his injuries.
