Real Chow Baby Introduces New Drink Menu

A popular Asian-Fusion restaurant on Ponce is serving up more than fresh stir-fry.

recently revamped their drink menu to add fun spring and summer selections that include Asian fusion cocktails, creative martinis and mojitos, and a selection of “Love You Long Time” creations inspired by the classic Long Island Iced Tea.

The brand new drink menu now showcases new combinations of Asian inspired liquors and liqueurs, fresh fruit juices, as well as artfully fashioned Long Island Iced Tea style creations designed to pack a delicious punch.

Sake infused cocktails such as the Japanese Cherry Citrus Sour: a tart yet delightful blend of TKYU Soju, TKYU Citrus, Sour mix, Grenadine and Sprite, and the Red Dragon: a fusion of TKYU Soju, Ginger Liqueur, Pomegranate Monin and cranberry juice, are also among the new additions.

Martini lovers can find interesting new creations including The Last Samurai: Sour Apple Vodka, Thatchers Blood Orange, Cranberry Juice, and Sour garnished with an orange peel, and the Yin Yang Martini: a delicate Gin and Plum Sake blend garnished with Lychee fruit.

"We are very excited about our new cocktail menu,” owner Chip Joyner said.

"We always want to deliver high quality products but also keep our offerings fresh and seasonal. With the recent cocktail menu revamp, we were able to do both by adding offerings that are sensible for the warmer Spring and Summer seasons ahead and that allow us to use only fresh ingredients.”

The drinks are made with fresh-squeezed juices, Joyner said, and many of the mixes are made daily from scratch.

Though many new drinks are now available, signature favorites including The Chow Baby Signature Spiked Ice Teas and the Famous Part Time Lover (Smirnoff Orange Vodka, Triple Sec, passion fruit puree, orange juice and pineapple juice) will remain on the menu.

Asian Fusion Cocktails

Beijing Breeze: Black Cherry vodka, Watermelon Pucker, Red Apple Schnapps, sour & pineapple.

Tom Yum (spicy): Muddled Chile, vodka, lime juice, agave nectar and Sprite.

Haiku: Cucumber vodka, lemon juice and soda water.

Love You Long Time

Great Wall: Van Gogh gin, Smirnoff, Cruzan rum, Jose Cuervo, Grape Pucker, Sprite & pineapple.

Godzilla: Van Gogh gin, Smirnoff, Cruzan rum, Jose Cuervo, Midori Melon and sour mix.

Tsunami: Van Gogh gin, Smirnoff, Jose Cuervo, Blue Curacao, pineapple & Bacardi 151.

Martinis

Ginger Lemon Drop Martini: Ginger vodka, triple sec, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup.

Orange Blossom: Kettle One Citron, Cointreau, fresh orange juice and edible flower.

The Real Chow Baby is located at 782 Ponce De Leon Ave. Hours: Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Fridays 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturdays 12 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Sundays 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
