Vandals Use Buses for Bumper Cars

Ten DeKalb County school buses were damaged by vandals who crashed them into each other. Drivers say security is needed at bus yard.

Some DeKalb County school students waited a little longer for buses to pick them up Tuesday after vandals damaged 10 buses, knocking them out of service temporarily.

School officials say trespassers stole a bus and rammed 10 more into each other in a sort of demolition derby. The cost of damage is unknown so far.

Drivers told WSB TV that the gate to DeKalb’s bus yard is not locked and keys are left inside the unlocked buses, making them an easy target for vandals.
