Shaky Knees Music Fest Rocks Masquerade This Weekend
Your weekend planner: There are plenty of other things to do in and around Virginia Highland and Druid Hills.

Cinco de Mayo is the big thing this weekend, and Patch has a list of places to celebrate. Here are five other weekend diversions in and around Virginia Highland and Druid Hills. For a full list of ideas, look at the Patch calendar of events.
1. Shaky Knees Music Festival. A bunch of bands will play at the Masquerade Music Park, the Old Fourth Ward and other nearby locations this weekend for the Shaky Knees Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Check the festival webpage for the lineup. $99 for two-day general admission.
2. The Ribbon Run 5K. Runners will receive a ribbon with the dream of a neighborhood child or family written on it. After the run, runners will tie the ribbon to a giant dreamcatcher behind the finish line. Starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at 635 Angier Ave. NE. $25.

3. What's new in poetry? Hear and discuss poetry at 8 p.m. Friday at Barnes and Noble at 1380 Oxford Road NE. Free.
4. Homebrew Day celebration. Wine Workshop and Brew Center marks its opening with this celebration of the brewing arts. 9 a.m. Saturday at 627 E College Ave., Decatur. Free.

5. UPDATE. THE MOVIE IS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF EXPECTED BAD WEATHER. Free movie. DeKalb Medical presents She's Having A Baby. The movie starts around 7:30 p.m. on the Decatur Court Square. Bring a blanket. Free.
