Here's a list of things going on this weekend in and around Brookhaven:
- Dedication & Consecration of the Chapel of the Resurrection: Sunday. The Right Reverend Robert Wright, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, will consecrate and dedicate the new Chapel of the Resurrection at St. Martin in the Fields Church, 3110 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Brookhaven, with a festive celebration of the Holy Eucharist Rite Two at 5:30 Sunday evening.
- Natural Dyeing: Indigo Silk Scarf: Saturday. Learn about the chemistry of natural dyes, the history of indigo and try your hand at several techniques including plangi shibori, arashi shibori as well as traditional tie, stitch and clamp resists. Design and create your own masterpiece to wear for years to come.
- Try a Taste of Chamblee This Weekend: Saturday. The 2013 Taste of Chamblee festival.
- The Punchline. Actor, comedian Aisha Tyler performs at The Punchline Sept. 27-28. Tyler is co-host of the CBS daytimes show "The Talk" and has appeared in several TV shows and films including, "Archer" and "24." Visit the website for showtimes. $20.
- Oktoberfest. Enjoy authentic German food, the launch of our 2013 Hefeweizen and Oktoberfest Lager, at 5 Seasons Brewing. Plus live German - style music throughout the day. 11 a.m., Saturday. $25 per person for all the Oktoberfest food you care to enjoy or $25 per person for all the beer you care to enjoy,or $45 per person for all the beer and Oktoberfest food you care to enjoy.
