'Armed And Dangerous' Suspect Beat Roommates With A Hammer: Police

BREAKING: Jonathon Lafon is wanted on two counts of aggravated assault​. He is expected to still be in the Atlanta area.

ATLANTA, GA -- Police in the Atlanta area continue to search for a man who allegedly attacked his roommates with a hammer in nearby Fairburn. Law enforcement officials said that Jonathon Lafon is wanted on two counts of aggravated assault. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities late Tuesday responded to a call about a fight on Carll Court in the Creekwood Village subdivision, police said in an alert obtained by Patch. Officers found a man and woman suffering from serious injuries, including lacerations to their head, face and neck, inside the home. When asked how the injuries happened, the couple told them that the man who did it was still inside the home. They identified the suspect as Lafon and also warned the officers that the he was armed with multiple weapons.

Officers called a SWAT unit to come to the home and when they did, they searched for Lafon, but he had disappeared.

The Fairburn Police Department have reason to believe that Lafon may be hiding somewhere in metro Atlanta. He is described as about 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with tattoos on his hands.
