'Community Conversations' Slated for Future of Cobb Schools
Four public meetings will take place across the county between Nov. 18 and Dec. 5.
For the next three weeks, the Cobb County School District will be seeking public comment on what it calls its "Vision 2026" initiative.Â
Four public meetings have been called, from next Monday, Nov. 18, to Dec. 5, to brief the public on three operational options the district must choose from by next year.
A new state law requires all public school districts in Georgia to decide from the three options how they intend to operate:Â
- Investing in Educational Excellence School SystemÂ
- Charter System
- Status Quo School System
The public meetings are as follows:Â
- Monday, Nov. 18, Campbell High School
- Thursday, Nov. 21, South Cobb High School
- Tuesday, Dec. 3, Kennesaw Mountain High School
- Thursday, Dec. 5, Lassiter High School
Public feedback from the meetings will be used to help the district determine which option to pursue.Â
