Kristen Beaudin will be the new principal at Marietta's Hickory Hills Elementary.

Kristen Beaudin has been named the principal of in the city of Marietta by the Marietta Board of Education, spokesman Thomas Algarin announced Friday.

Beaudin will make the move July 1, replacing Diana Mills, who is leaving the Marietta school district after seven years.

Beaudin spent eight years as a teacher and four years as an elementary school administrator in the .

“Her background as an instructional and area lead teacher and her expertise in elementary curriculum and instruction, school improvement strategies in Title I schools, and proven track record of building effective school partnerships with community resources and stakeholders are strengths she brings to the job,” Marietta Superintendent Emily Lembeck said.
