Eviction moratorium expires July 31st. President Joe Biden has announced the moratorium on evictions issued through a CDC order will be extended through the month of July 31, 2021.
Detailed information about this order, including a Chief Magistrate's outline of what this means for pending evictions can be found on the Cobb County Government website -Cobbcounty.org.

Monica DeLancy, founder and director of We Thrive in Riverside Renters Association, warns residents that this has been deemed " the last extension." She urges residents to act quickly to shore up rental assistance applications or to determine alternate housing options.

Ms. DeLancy continues to advocate for stronger long-term housing solutions. She maintains that "Woman and children (the majority of whom are black and brown ), continue to bare the weight of soaring housing prices. Many do not qualify for mortgages and monthly ,"market rate" rent is unsustainable for these mostly essential worker wage households."
