Open letter to my children for Mother’s Day

#workingmomsforMonicaEvetteDeLancy

Dear Brianne and Ernest thank you for choosing me to be your mother. We did not know the road that we travelled together would be full of curves, bumps, gaps, hills, mountains, but we made it to our first destination together. We travelled the road without emotional support from my mother because she died while I was in college. We travelled the road with only the support I could provide. I am so proud that I was able to see you graduate from high school (Brianne) and complete your first 2 years of college. I am so grateful to you, Ernest that you have allowed me to learn about individual education plans and be your fortnite gaming partner. Every decision that I made rather it was right or considered wrong. I did it for you. I pray that we continue traveling this road called life together for another 50 years. Thank you for choosing me as your mother.

Love, Mama

Happy Mother’s Day to all of my moms. Being a mother is hard and rewarding at the same time. Mothers are nurses, teachers, mentors, coaches, provider, business owners, friends. Even now more than ever we must appreciate our mothers. Sending virtual hugs. Class of 2020 prayers for our mothers to see you cross the stage, my fingers are crossed
