39 Student Athletes Recognized For Signing Commitment Letters

These Cherokee County School District students join 74 who were recognized in February on National Signing Day.

CANTON, GA -- Thirty-nine Cherokee County School District student-athletes were recognized Wednesday in a ceremony for signing scholarship commitment letters to compete at the collegiate level.

The event, held at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Conference Center, is one of two signing ceremonies hosted each year by the school district's Division of School Operations to recognize student athletes, along with their parents, coaches, athletic directors and principals, for making their college choices for a variety of sports.

These students join the 74 who were recognized in February on National Signing Day. These athletes inked letters of intent to compete in basketball, baseball, football, lacrosse, soccer, cheer, swimming, cross country, track, tennis, golf, wrestling and, for the first time in athletic scholarships, cycling.
