7 Arrested For Attempting To Meet With Teen: Woodstock Police
During the 3-day undercover chat operation, five men were arrested when they arrived to meet with what they thought was a teen, police said.
WOODSTOCK, GA — Seven men were arrested last week in Woodstock for attempting to meet in person what they believed was a teenage girl, Woodstock Police said.
The Woodstock Police Department, in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, conducted an operation targeting online predators.
During the three-day undercover chat operation, five men were arrested when they arrived at undisclosed locations to meet with what they believed was female under 16-years-old.

Warrants were also secured for the arrest of two additional individuals as part of the operation. These men were also involved in online chats with what they believed to be a female under the age of 16.

- Jason Bryan Major, 33 of Dawsonville, was arrested for child exploitation, criminal attempt of child molestation, criminal attempt sodomy and criminal attempt of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
- Robert Jones, 37, of Atlanta, was arrest for child exploitation, criminal attempt of child molestation, criminal attempt of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
- Garrett Hick, 21, of Atlanta, was arrested for child exploitation, criminal attempt of child molestation, criminal attempt of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
- Bryan Gomez, 24, of Canton, was arrested for child exploitation, criminal attempt of child molestation, criminal attempt of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
- Mark Shin, 38, of Newnan, was arrested for child exploitation, criminal attempt of child molestation, criminal attempt of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
Warrants were taken for:
- David Nelson, 63, of Gadsden, Alabama, was arrested on warrants for computer/electronic pornography and child exploitation and criminal attempt to commit child molestation.
- The second individual has not yet been picked up on his active warrants, police said.
The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program was created by the Department of Justice to help state and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative response to the online sexual exploitation of children. It consists of members from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and over 220 affiliated law enforcement agencies and prosecutorial entities throughout the state.
