B.B. King Blues Band To Play Woodstock Concert Series Saturday
On Saturday, July 13, the B.B. King Blues Band featuring Michael Lee will headline the Woodstock Summer Concert Series.

WOODSTOCK, GA — B.B. King Blues Band featuring Michael Lee will headline the Woodstock Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 13. For over half a century, B.B. King and B.B. King’s Blues Band defined the blues to the world. Now, Michael Lee (from the hit TV show "The Voice") has teamed up with B.B. King’s Blues Band to tour, keeping the musical legacy of B.B. King alive.
Since 1998, the City of Woodstock has hosted thousands of people in Downtown Woodstock by providing these free family friendly concerts.
The Woodstock Concert Series will be held at Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater. Each concert will start at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Similar to last year, city officials are currently working to finalize plans to utilize a shuttle for off-site parking. A third shuttle stop has been added this year.
New rules for the concerts have been approved by the Woodstock City Council.

The city posted online that new rules for the Woodstock Summer Concert Series have been approved by the Woodstock City Council, including:
- Chairs are not allowed to be put out in the park until after 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the concert. If any chairs are placed in the park earlier than that, the chairs will be removed and placed in a non-secure holding area on site until Monday morning at 8 a.m. at which time they will be determined to be abandoned and will be discarded.
- The amphitheater is located in an open park. Chairs may be moved and/or blocked for production and concession load in.
- Plastic tarps are not allowed on the ground or staked into the ground and will be removed.
- Lawn chairs, beach chairs, bag chairs or cloth blankets (with no plastic backing) are recommended. Staff will remove any plastic on the ground, stakes and roped off areas.
- The maximum size of coolers allowed in the event has been reduced from 48 quarts to a more manageable 28 quarts. Coolers above 28 quarts or glass containers will not be allowed in to the events.
