Cherokee Tax Offices To Remain Closed Through Monday
Both locations of the Cherokee Tax Commissioner's Office will be closed after an employee who worked at both offices tested positive.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Both locations of the Cherokee County Tax Commissioner’s Office will remain closed through Monday after an employee who had worked at both offices received a positive COVID-19 test. Per CDC guidelines, the buildings must be closed and thoroughly sanitized. Additionally, all employees must quarantine for 14 days.
“We received news Saturday that the employee’s COVID-19 test was positive, and we have another employee who also has been tested and is likely positive. We are following CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our employees and the public,” said Tax Commissioner Sonya Little. “We are doing our best to accommodate the public’s needs while working remotely. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
