Company From The Netherlands To Open Location In Woodstock

Thomas Regout, a developer of height adjustable mount systems for interactive flat panels in schools, will open a location in Woodstock.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The Georgia Department of Economic Development recently announced that Thomas Regout Inc, a developer of innovative height adjustable mount systems for interactive flat panels in schools, will create 25 jobs and invest more than $2 million in a new U.S. location in Woodstock. The products are marketed under the brand names BalanceBox and e-Box.

The Regout Group employs over 300 employees and offers a wide range of competences such as customer specific engineering, after sales service next to trade and a high level of quality and innovation. The strategy is aimed at supporting the individual companies with all its core competences within the group as well as having a strong focus on local management.

“We are excited that Thomas Regout Inc. chose Cherokee County for their first U.S. location,” Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson said. “We are very proud of the active Dutch business community we have here in Georgia, and this announcement will undoubtedly strengthen the longstanding relationship between Georgia and The Netherlands.”

Headquartered in Maastricht, The Netherlands, the Regout Group manufactures height adjustable mounting systems, telescopic slides and window decoration products for various market segments including the education and corporate AV market, automotive, furniture, professional storage, DIY and more. The company will focus on assembly, sales and distribution at this new U.S. location.

“We chose the location in Georgia because of the proximity of several big players in the professional AV industry, who are now among our customers also aimed at the education market,” Eric Kamerbeek VP of Thomas Regout Inc said. The availability of qualified staff and the support from the local authorities in the area made it an excellent location for our business. Atlanta is also an easy to reach hub for national and international travel and the people are friendly and the climate is great.”

The company began moving into the new location in Woodstock in December 2018.

Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Director of International Investment Nico Wijnberg represented the Global Commerce Division in partnership with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and Georgia Power.
