Creative Circuit to Meet in Woodstock
The monthly gathering is open to all creative professionals, such as designers, illustrators, photographers, and more.

From Tom Cox Design: The Creative Circuit is a monthly gathering in Woodstock, GA, open to all creative professionals, such as designers, illustrators, photographers, writers, artists, film makers, and so on. The catalyst for the gathering began with longtime Cherokee residents Tom Cox and Rob McClurkan getting requests from other local creatives to meet up and connect socially. The two decided it would be a good idea to get everyone together all at once so The Creative Circuit was born.
Tom Cox, a local brand identity designer, had been working with the economic development departments of both Woodstock and Cherokee County, who volunteered space to start the gatherings. So in September of 2016, the first meeting totaled 7 creative professionals. It has grown every month and is now averaging around 30 attendees each month.
The first several months were simply coffee and networking on a Friday morning. The last couple of months, in addition to networking time, the meetings have featured speakers and discussions. For their next event on May 23rd at 6:30 pm, the gathering is moving to evening. It will be held at Reformation Brewery and feature guest speaker Von Glitschka, a popular designer/illustrator/author from Salem, Oregon.

Cox and McClurkan hope their efforts help the local creative community thrive by creating events for encouragement and connections. Cox adds, “We want to place a spotlight on the value creatives add to a local economy and also help creatives see the global possibilities in front of them today.”
