The market, organizers said, has grown to become ”one of the best” in the region and each year, the city strives to make sure the event is a success for shoppers and vendors alike.
With that in mind, organizers have big plans in store for 2016. The market will now be known as the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market.

“The most common feedback we got about the farmers market is that everyone wants the market to be the best place to get fresh locally grown produce in Woodstock,” Main Street Woodstock said. “This is what we want our farmers market to be known for. To reflect this goal we felt it was appropriate to change the name of the farmers market.”
Main Street Woodstock has also implemented new rules, which stipulate produce vendors must grow at least 85 percent of the product they bring to the market.
These vendors will be subject to inspection to confirm they are growing the required amount of produce.
“These rules were put in place to help guarantee that if you are a shopper at the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market, you can know for sure that the produce at the market is locally grown,” the agency added.
Woodstock Farm Fresh Market will open from 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday from May to October along Market Street in downtown.
Bank of North Georgia will also return as sponsor, and organizers will continue a partnership with the Cherokee County Farm Bureau that will bring great events to the market throughout the 2016 season.
