Fire Damages Trailer On West Pine Ridge Drive

The American Red Cross was notified to assist two adults, one teenager and one child. No injuries were reported.

ACWORTH, GA — Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a mobile home fire shortly before 4 a.m. on Tuesday at 1206 West Pine Ridge Drive, located off Bells Ferry Road.

The caller to 911 reported that the single wide mobile home was filled with smoke. Firefighters arrived at the scene minutes later to find flames coming from one side of the structure. Minutes later, firefighters were able to get a good knock down on the fire, however, the mobile home had extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the interior.

Cherokee County Fire Investigator, Cheri Collett reported that the cause is undetermined, however electrical failure could not be eliminated as the cause of the fire at this time.
