GA Weather: Strong To Severe Thunderstorms Expected Tuesday Night

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Georgia due to the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms.

GEORGIA — Scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon and night through central and north Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued by the NWS due to the predicted storms.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the area through tonight. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, mainly this afternoon and evening. The main hazards will be gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall, the NWS said.

Scattered thunderstorms can also be expected on Wednesday and numerous to occasional thunderstorms are expected on Thursday, the NWS said. Some storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy rainfall.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms can be expected Friday into Monday, mostly during the afternoon and evening.
