Crews Repairing Gas Leak On Kellogg Creek Road In Cherokee County

One lane on Kellogg Creek Road will reopen to traffic and Galts Ferry Road will be completely open while crews work to repair the leak.

WOODSTOCK, GA — A portion of Kellogg Creek Road is closed at Galts Ferry Road in southwest Cherokee County due to a gas main leak.

Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency Director Renee Cornelison said the estimated time for the leak to be repaired is about eight to 10 hours. At 2 p.m. Monday, one lane on Kellogg Creek Road will reopen to through traffic while Galts Ferry Road will be completely open as Atlanta Gas Light crews continue making repairs to the gas line at the intersection, Cornelison added.

Motorists are asked to use Highway 92 or Bells Ferry Road to bypass the area. Please refer to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office or Cherokee EMA Facebook pages for information on the roadway's reopening.
