Gold Swimmer Bound for New Orleans
Lilly Byrne says of the Chattahoochee Gold club team based in Woodstock, "I would not have the opportunities I have today without them."

Chattahoochee Gold swimmer Lilly Byrne will continue her stellar swim career at Tulane University in New Orleans. She says,"I chose Tulane because of it's impressive academics, outstanding team and coaches, location, and gorgeous campus. I believe Tulane selected me because of the connection I made with the coaches and team and my potential as a swimmer."
Her proudest achievement in competing for Gold? "Winning the 1650 yard Freestyle at Senior Sectionals and being voted a team captain. I have always received unconditional love and support from my coach and teammates. They have helped me to grow into the swimmer I am today."
Gold Coach Mark Schilling says, “With her being one of the best distance swimmers in her class across the country, I think Tulane has really gotten a gem of a swimmer and student with her. In her time at Gold, Lilly has been one of the hardest workers, and best teammates so although we will be sad to see her go, this is a fantastic next step for her."
