Gold Swimmer To Join Sister On Birmingham-Southern Swim Team

Chattahoochee Gold is one of the first swim clubs in the country to achieve USA Swimming's Level 4 status.

Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club's Rachel Sullivan is committing to swim for the Birmingham-Southern College Panthers. "I chose Birmingham-Southern because I feel that this is the perfect college for me to succeed both academically and athletically. The coaches and the team are like one big family, and I felt like part of that family from the moment I first visited." Part of the BSC family actually is a part of Rachel's family. Her sister Nicole is a sophomore on the team.

Rachel is a senior at North Forsyth High School in Cumming. Her teammate on the North Forsyth swim team and Chattahoochee Gold is Jack Dalmolin who has committed to swim for Arizona State University.

Rachel will be joining a winning tradition at BSC. The Birmingham-Southern women's swimming and diving team won the Southern Athletic Association team title last month.

Chattahoochee Gold Coach Andy Eaton says, "I'm excited that Rachel has found her fit! She has a lot more that she can develop as a swimmer and I look forward to watching her progress."

Chattahoochee Gold trains swimmers at its homebase at the Woodstock Aquatic Center as well as the Cumming Aquatic Center, Mountain View Aquatic Center in East Cobb and Cherokee County Aquatic Center in Canton.
