Gold Swimmer Plans on The Plains
Thankful for his family, friends & coaches who've supported him, Grant Davis says, "I'm excited to be a part of the Auburn Family."

Chattahoochee Gold swimmer Grant Davis has announced his commitment to swim collegiately for Auburn University.
Among Grant's aquatic accolades are a gold medal in 800 meter freestyle, silver in 1500 meter freestyle & bronze in 400 meter freestyle at last summer's USA Swimming Futures meet in Greensboro, NC.
As for the classroom, Grant (age 16) is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

How'd he choose Auburn to continue his swim & school careers? Grant says, "The Auburn coaches stress the importance of recruiting swimmers with championship character and they always made me feel like a part of the family because of the person I am and not just for my swimming. Auburn was the first official visit I went on and I fell in love with the family atmosphere and the coaches. The campus just felt like home. I hope to help the team bring championship titles back to The Plains. I am proud to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn."
Grant will arrive on The Plains in the fall of 2021. Until then, his sites are set on other feats with Chattahoochee Gold, including qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Trials. He says, "Chattahoochee Gold not only taught me how to swim but also taught me valuable life lessons that I will carry with me throughout my collegiate career. Many Gold coaches have been impactful on my swimming journey along the way but my current coach Mark Schilling has been instrumental in making me a better swimmer and person." Coach Mark says, "We as a team couldn't be more proud of having Grant attend Auburn University. Auburn has established itself as the premier swimming hotbed for decades, so for Gold to be able to contribute a scholarship athlete to the program speaks volumes about how hard Grant has worked to make this dream a reality."
