Kile Zeller Returns to Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club
Zeller is also one of the club's original swimmers, as he began competing with the team at age 15 in 1992.
Chattahoochee Gold swim club is excited for the return of Coach Kile Zeller. Not only is this Coach Kile’s second go-round as a Gold coach, but he’s also one of the team’s original swimmers. He started swimming competitively for Chattahoochee Gold in 1992 at age fifteen and was a two-time “Gold Award” winner (the team’s highest honor) and State Champion in the 100 Backstroke. Coach Zeller would go on to coach for Gold from 2002 to 2006.
From there, Zeller was owner and head coach for Smoky Mountain Aquatic Club in Waynesville, North Carolina. Under his leadership, SMAC had multiple Junior National qualifiers, LSC & Sectional record holders and many Division One college swimmers. In 2009, he was ASCA Group Coach of the Year for North Carolina Swimming.
Later, Zeller served as Sport Development Director for the South Carolina Swimming LSC, the fastest-growing LSC (local swimming committee) in the country from 2012 through 2013.

Coach Zeller is fired up to be coaching Chattahoochee Gold’s 14-and-under and Technique & Fitness groups. “My family and I are very happy to be back in Atlanta and coaching at Gold. Chattahoochee Gold is a family to me.
“Competitive swimming is great for a lot of reasons, from being a good winner, to properly handling defeat, pushing beyond your limits, then doing it again 20 minutes later, as well as racing the clock and focusing on being your best day in and day out. The most important concept I want our swimmers to take away from being on Chattahoochee Gold is that swimming is fun!”
