Lidl To Open New Grocery Store Sept. 30 On Bells Ferry Road

WOODSTOCK, GA — Lidl announced Tuesday its new store in Woodstock will hold its grand opening on Sept. 30. The new store will be located at 6421 Bells Ferry Road.

The store will open at 8 a.m. after a brief ribbon cutting in front of the store at 7:40 a.m. The store will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday. The Woodstock store will be Lidl’s 11th in the Atlanta area.

“We are thrilled Lidl has chosen to be a part of Cherokee County,” said Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Chairman Harry Johnston. “They enrich the food shopping experience, and will be an excellent part of our community.”

Customers will be able to take advantage of get-them-while-you-can grand opening special offers at the new stores. The first 100 customers will be presented with a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can be entered to win a $500 Lidl gift card, as well as take advantage of special giveaways.

Additionally, Lidl will open its East Cobb store on Sept. 30, the 10th in the Atlanta area.

Lidl (rhymes with "needle") operates more than 11,000 stores in 32 different countries, with more than 100 of those stores in the United States. According to a Lidl news release, the East Cobb and Woodstock stores are part of a 50-store expansion planned for the eastern U.S.
