In Memory: Gayle Baert, Woodstock High School Volunteer
Baert, 57, often managed the concession stand at Woodstock High School and also donated her time to the Woodstock Lions Club.

Gayle Frances “Gigi” Baert, 57, of Chapin, SC, formerly of Woodstock, GA, passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018. Gayle was one of two girls born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shearburn. She grew up in California and became a long time resident of Woodstock, Georgia.
She was a caring, creative individual with a servant’s heart. Gayle had natural talents - she worked with various minerals and stones to create sculptures and made countless pieces of jewelry that she showcased at festivals and online. She loved being outdoors whether it was hiking, camping, gardening or being out by the lake.
Gayle was a loving and selfless person; she spent many years volunteerig for the Woodstock Lion’s Club and Woodstock High School Booster Club managing the concession stand. She was such a blessing to be around as she only had positive things to say of others, always smiled and tried to be uplifting to those around her. Gayle was a loving wife, caring mother, the best “Gigi” anyone could ask for and caretaker for her three furbabies.
