The NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in an air-conditioned room and staying out of direct sunshine. The elderly, the very young and people with heart conditions are most at risk in extreme heat. Friends, relatives and neighbors should check on people who may be at risk.
When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening hours. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments.
The NWS also says it is important to know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, which are below from the CDC. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency, so the NWS says to call 911 if you see any of the signs.

Additionally, the NWS has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of the state.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible, mainly Tuesday afternoon and evening. A few of these storms could be strong with gusty winds, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and heavy rain.
