New Coffee Shop To Open At The Circuit In Woodstock

A new coffee shop and eatery set to open this year at The Circuit will provide job opportunities for young adults with special needs.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Circle of Friends, a local organization dedicated to community inclusion for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, has partnered with The Circuit to open The Circuit Cafe this year.

The Circuit, located at 1 Innovation Way in Woodstock, doubles as Cherokee’s first coworking space and Chattahoochee Technical College’s Student Center. The space was founded in collaboration with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, Chattahoochee Technical College, and the Woodstock Office of Economic Development as an innovation hub for entrepreneurs, students, and the local community.

The Circuit Cafe will provide employment opportunities for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a partnership with Circle of Friends – an organization dedicated to developing an inclusive community where people with and without disabilities can live, work, and play together.

The Circuit Cafe will serve Cherokee-based Alma Coffee and will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday. The shop will also feature a variety of signature teas and smoothies along with seasonal baked goods.

“Chattahoochee Tech is excited to welcome Circle of Friends to our Woodstock campus operating the coffee shop housed within The Circuit,” said Chattahoochee Technical College Vice President of Facilities David Simmons. “Coffee is an essential part of the college’s student center as it helps build community, creates a fun place for students to study and learn, and even positions students for real-life job opportunities right here on campus.”

“We are excited to welcome and support the new cafe in The Circuit Woodstock,” said Woodstock Office of Economic Development Program Manager Sylvia Breitbart. "Circle of Friends will be an inspiring addition to our community and will create an enjoyable environment for everyone to gather and connect.”
