WOODSTOCK, GA — Three years after introducing its Next Generation store design in Quincy, Massachusetts, Dunkin’ announced the opening of its 1,000th Next Gen restaurant in Woodstock, 8000 Alabama Road NE, on Friday.

To celebrate the landmark opening at 9 a.m., Scott Murphy, head of Inspire Brands Beverage-Snack Category and president of Dunkin’, and Mathias Piercy, regional vice president at Dunkin’, will join Atlanta-area Dunkin’ franchisee Andy Awale of the Awale Network for the store’s official ribbon cutting ceremony.

"Our team is thrilled to be a part of Dunkin’s Next Gen initiative and open the brand’s 1,000th Next Gen store here in Woodstock,” Awale said. “We are proud to offer the community an enhanced guest experience, including an approachable atmosphere and exciting innovations. We look forward to keeping Woodstock running on Dunkin’ for years to come.”

Following the ribbon cutting, the Awale Network, alongside the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, will present a $1,000 grant to the Northside Hospital Cherokee NICU – Miracle Babies Fund. The donation will specifically benefit the hospital’s family room, which provides resources and financial assistance to families with critically ill newborns in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

In an effort to give back to the community it serves, the Awale Network will also host a special presentation to donate 1,000 pounds of Dunkin’ packaged coffee to Woodstock-based Never Alone food pantry, whose mission is to serve everyone in legitimate need of food in the community.

Festivities kicking off at 8 a.m. will also include a free coffee for a year giveaway for the first 100 guests via the store’s drive-thru lane. From 9-11 a.m., guests will be invited to enjoy a free classic donut, no purchase necessary. Additionally, throughout the day, the store will give out a variety of Dunkin’ branded merch items, including a commemorative Dunkin’ tumbler.

The 2,480 square foot location will employ 25 crew members and will be open for business 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Including the new Woodstock restaurant, Dunkin’ franchise group Awale Network currently owns and operates 10 locations throughout Georgia.

Additionally, it features Dunkin's new restaurant design, with a modern atmosphere, a convenient drive-thru, and innovative technologies, including:

  • Modern design: The openness, colors and materials used in the design help to create an approachable, positive, and energetic environment.
  • Premium pours: Dunkin’s cold beverages will be served through an innovative tap system serving eight consistently cold drinks, such as coffees, iced teas, cold brew, and nitro infused cold brew. Crew members will also use flavor-maximizing espresso machines to make hand-crafted drinks to order.
  • Increased energy efficiency: Next Gen restaurants are designed to meet DD Green Achievement specifications. Stores that achieve DD Green Achievement status, including the one in Woodstock, are built with sustainable and efficient elements like LED lighting, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, low-flow faucets, and more. DD Green Achievement restaurants are performing better than designed. On average, they are 33 percent more energy efficient compared to conventional Dunkin' restaurants.
