Paul Hodge, Former Woodstock Mayor, Dies At 80

Hodge served as the city's mayor from 1981 to 1982.

Paul Reece Hodge, age 80, of Hiawassee, GA (formerly of Woodstock, GA) passed away on March 29, 2017.
Paul was born in Ringold, GA.

He served in the United States Army, was former mayor of Woodstock and was also a contractor and developer. He loved to fish and loved antique cars.

The city notes Hodge served as council member from 1979 to 1981 and mayor from 1982 to 1983.

He is preceded in death by Patricia Ann Hodge and grandson, Jeremy Jay Hodge.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Petie Hodge; sons, Chuck, Ricky and Robby Hodge; daughter, Carolyn K. Wolfe; daughter-in-law, Kendall Hodge; son-in-law, Lawson L. Wolfe; step-daughter, Nanette Cooper and Shawna Klossing; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lakeside Funeral Home and on March 31, 2017, noon to 12:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Woodstock.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Interment to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to one of the following: Paralyzed Veterans of American www.pva.org or Feed my Lambs www.feedmylambs.net.
