Read For The Record Begins At Chattahoochee Tech

Chattahoochee Tech's Downtown Woodstock campus invites parents to bring their children for a reading and art invite.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, Chattahoochee Technical College will welcome local elementary school students to its Downtown Woodstock campus for a wonderful community event. Reading and Spanish instructors from the college will read award-winning children's book, Maybe Something Beautiful, a story that describes how art can transform a city and bring a community together. After both versions of the book have been presented, children will have the opportunity to complete an art project and enjoy a snack.

The event is part of a larger mission led by JumpStart.org that seeks to improve our nations literacy. Read for the Record is in its 13th year, and the program inspires thousands of children to read across the nation each year.

Please bring your children out to enjoy this inspiring and engaging event. The book's target audience for the book is pre-k to second grade, and Chattahoochee Tech students have simple and fun art projects planned. If you have any questions, email Jennifer Staton at jstaton@chattahoocheetech.edu.
