Rep. Cantrell Named Chair Of Small Business Development Committee

Cantrell represents House District 22, which includes portions of portions of Cherokee, Forsyth and Fulton counties.

From GA General Assembly: The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Wes Cantrell (R-Woodstock) as the Chairman of the House Small Business Development Committee.

Rep. Cantrell will also serve as the Secretary of Information and Audits Committee and as a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education and on the Education, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Juvenile Justice committees.

“I would like to thank Speaker Ralston for entrusting me with this responsibility,” said Rep. Cantrell. “I look forward to working alongside the Speaker and Governor Kemp to eliminate unnecessary and burdensome regulations that stand in the way of the success of small businesses in Georgia.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Wes Cantrell represents the citizens of District 22, which includes portions of portions of Cherokee, Forsyth and Fulton counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2014 and currently serves as Chairman of the Small Business Development Committee and Secretary of the Information and Audits Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education and on the Education, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Juvenile Justice committees.
