Severe Weather Possible Tuesday Night In Northern Georgia

Severe weather is possible Tuesday evening in parts of North and Central Georgia, the National Weather Service warns. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across the region throughout Tuesday night.

Storms are capable of producing strong to damaging winds, hail and a brief tornado or two.

Tuesday night, temperatures will drop to around 60 degrees and a south wind will blow between 10 and 15 miles-per-hour. An 80 percent chance of precipitation is possible, and rainfall is expected to total between a half and three-quarters inches.

Later in the week, the possibility of thunderstorms will return to North Georgia on Saturday and across the entire area on Sunday, the Weather Service said.
