WOODSTOCK, GA — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is informing residents and motorists about a race that will require temporary road closures Friday evening. The Bascomb Elementary School Bobcat Boogie 5K will be held between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at the school at 1335 Wyngate Parkway. Runners will also be utilizing roads near the school and Hobgood Park, and the event will require the temporary closure of one lane of Wyngate Parkway from Bascomb Elementary to Towne Lake Parkway and one lane of Towne Lake Parkway from Wyngate Parkway to the entrance to the baseball complex at Hobgood Park. The road closure will begin at 6:45 p.m. Please use caution if traveling in the area.
